Approving customers
Accept or decline the neighbors asking for service, and see everyone you serve.
Anyone inside your coverage area can request service. Nothing happens until you say yes.
Awaiting approval
New requests sit at the top with their name, address, and the plan they picked. The Customers tab in the bottom nav carries a badge with the count, so you don't have to go looking.
- Approve starts their service. Scheduled pickups appear on their side, and the stop joins your route.
- Deny turns them down. Do this rather than leaving someone waiting — if their street is genuinely too far, they'd rather know.
Either button emails the customer. Approving tells them your name, their first pickup date, and that a first bill is due; denying tells them it didn't go ahead and sends them to look for another crew. You don't have to write anything, and there's nothing to remember to do afterwards.
Denying gives no reason, deliberately — you weren't asked for one, and a made-up explanation is worse than none. If you want to say more, contact them directly.
Before approving, look at the address. Coverage polygons are approximate and it is worth checking that the house is one you'd actually walk to.
All customers
Below that is everyone you serve, in alphabetical order by last name, with their plan and status. Expanding a customer shows their contact details, their cans, and their roll history — see Managing a customer's cans. Roll history gives the time each can went out and came back, read on your own clock.
Paused customers stay in this list. A customer who's paused for a holiday keeps their subscription and simply drops off the route until they resume.
