Your pickup schedule
Set recurring collection days, generate dates, and add one-offs.
Your schedule mirrors your city's collection calendar: the days the truck comes are the days you roll.
Recurring schedule
Set the Trash pickup day and the Recycling pickup day — the weekdays your city collects. If your city collects both on the same day, set both to that day.
Generating dates
Recurring days are a rule, not a list. Generate pickups turns the rule into actual dates: choose how many weeks ahead and generate.
Do this a month or two out and top it up. Customers can only see pickups that have been generated, so an empty Pickups tab on their side usually means you're out of runway.
One-off dates
Add a single date covers everything the rule doesn't: a holiday shifting collection to Wednesday, a one-week customer, a make-up day after a missed truck. Pick the date and the waste type.
Existing dates can be edited or deleted individually. Deleting a date removes it from every customer on that day.
Roll the night before, not the morning of. The dates here are collection days. Most crews put cans out the evening before and bring them in that afternoon.
What your customers see
Every change here — generating dates, adding a one-off, moving one, cancelling one, clearing them all — is collected and sent to your customers as one email the next morning, listing what changed. Skipping a pickup from your route screen goes in the same digest, but only to that customer.
You don't have to warn anybody yourself, and you don't have to batch your edits to be polite: fix the schedule as many times as you like, and it still arrives as one message. Nothing goes out in the middle of the night — it waits for their morning.
Importing your city's calendar
Cities publish collection calendars as a photo or PDF. You can hand one straight to the app rather than typing it in — see Importing a city calendar.
